As we all know Danish and Mid Century inspired furniture has been popular and well sot after since the 40′. Owning an original piece of teak vintage furniture is no different than a vintage car. It holds its value building overtime, is built to last forever, and the design was so well thought out that the aesthetic is timeless.
We have been fortunate enough to have worked with Mid-Century Modern Home for over 7 years now. Re-upholstering and revamping classic pieces. Surprisingly enough… hundreds of projects latter she still brings in styles we haven’t seen, and designer names we worked on yet, and we love the variety.
After watching the demand for this feel of furniture I decided to draw inspiration from what we have learned from the great Danes for the next creation.
The beauty of designing in a drafting program is that you can manipulate the drawing quickly and play with proportions. Ive always enjoyed the process of evolution and refining a design. I can tell you what was finally build in comparison to the first design are quite different.
